......Don't Make No Sound.
[link] It's my father's birthday next month so I decided to do some art for him. And as I'd mentioned before in his youth he worked as a fireman on the railway so I decided to look for something from that era to evoke those long distant memories. I actually enjoyed painting this as it's not the normal thing I do and didn't think I'd get so much enjoyment out of the subject, but the lighting and shadows made it hard not to get fully engrossed. I had to scan this in 2 parts and merge them and if you look close you may see the join! I've done another painting which I'll post soon, I may give him both as a gift as I can't decide which I like the most. I even splashed out on a canvas board for this one so no rough packing card!! That's how much I must love my old man  It was done pretty much with watered down acrylic. Comments This looks familar. Was this based on a photo or an exhibit from a museum?
 This is a very beautiful monochrome painting, i love the light and contrast in this dark atmosphere...I love also how the windows appear, very simply and very well done
