Hello my devouted followers and people with nothing better to do

I'm sorry to start with a gripe but something was discovered yesterday with the DD's. You may have already noticed that I've made comment to the number of blood/gore/fangs/horror photos that get over exposure in the selection of DD's?
Yesterday it was found that a DD was awarded to an artist when they'd previously only got a DD two weeks prior.
The rules state that there has to be a 3 month gap between nominations and this clealry wasn't followed. So sadly another artists missed out on being featured and yet another blood/horror image yet again graced our screens.
A quick grumble to the mods and the second DD was removed. Now this is not an attack on the artist, so don't get me wrong
but I just thought you as DA members should be aware that this has happened and probably has happened a good few times in the past. The deviations in question can be viewed here

You can do something about this if you spot a similar miscarriage of DD rules by sending a note to.

Well complaint over now to the main crux of this journal.
Some of you may remember I ran a silly small competition for shits and giggles

I asked if anyone could spot which one of my paintings I'd included in the background on this painting.

Well the winner was....

So I promised to feature her work and here it is

Now some other news that hopefully will have a happy ending. My friend's dog Sidney

fell very ill a few days ago. A severe attack of Pancreatitus. It was touch and go whether he'd make it for the first 24 hours. But I'm pleased to say he's home now and perking up. They are still awaiting the test results to see if it was an acute attack or if it's chronic and if he'll suffer similar attacks in the future. So I hope you're with me in wishing my handsome model a speedy recovery
UPDATE!!! I went to visit Sidney the other day and he's doing very well. He still gets a little tired but he's got his bounce back and wants fuss, lots of it!!! Here's a pic of him well on the way to recovery that I thought you'd like to see
